2003 Ford Escape 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 103000 miles

Last summer I had to replace the alternator twice because of this problem. It seemed to be fixed but now it’s started doing it again. It runs fine, but the problem is when you go to restart it after being in the store. It will start but then die right away. The only way that it will stay running is if you keep one foot on the accelerator and one foot on the brake. After a while of driving like that it will stay running. Otherwise it dies once the accelerator is released. I hope you can help before I have to go through 2 more alternators. At first I thought it was the AC causing the problem, but today it happened and the AC wasn’t even on. This doesn’t happen on a regular basis, but it has started again. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
