Engine Performance problem
2003 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 72000 miles

I checked the code at advance auto. This SES light error occured when I came to an abrupt stop this morning and almost bogged out my engine as I had clutch engaged. I was able to BARELY keep the engine going by quickly depressing clutch pedal. Would something like this create the SES light error? I reset the code and it hasn't repeated.
