2003 Chevy Impala 160000 miles
My Chevy Impala drives fine, but when I start it up it has some difficulty like its not catching. And also the hazard lights arent working and the turn signals. On the dashboard the check engine light is on, it keeps saying needing an oil change and low tire pressure. I checked those situations and everything is fine. What could be wrong? |

Hello there,
The check engine light could probably tell you why the car doesn’t start right. Go to an autopart store (Autozone or such) and ask them to check your DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes) for you. They do it for free. Come back here with the codes if you need and I’ll try to help troubleshoot more.
As far as your hazard signal and blinkers, it sounds like your hazard signal switch needs to be replaced.
As far as your information center (change oil, low tire pressure), have you tried to reset these functions? If not, try that; your user’s manual has the procedure in it. |
