Warranty problem
2003 Acura TL 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 127000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have had my transmission worked on four times by the same transmission shop over the course of the last 9 months and I just got it back from the shop. I have put about 30 miles on it since I got it back and it has already started to break down again. They have been helpful at the shop and have admitted fault on previous work done, but I cannot keep running back and forth to the shop every couple of months. The shop's warranty on the transmission is for one year. I would just like to have a working transmission(FYI-I drive a 2003 Acura TL Type S). My question is, at what point do I have a legitimate claim to ask for my money back so I can take it to someone who can fix it? Thanks!
Not sure if you were aware but in apr 15,2004 acura had a recall on all automatic transmissions for the 3.2tl, I would check with the dealership to see if still cover under factory warranty. a link to see is
Depending on which state you live in, I would check out what the lemon laws you have and since you have been trying to repair 4 times, you may have a strong case, but i would advise to consult a lawyer.
