Steering problem
2003 Acura RSX 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 128000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I recently had my ac compressor replaced. The hose that goes to the power steering pump had to be removed. After reconnecting the hose, the pump has been making a lot of noise and I have actuaaly lost power steering for short sperts. I've bled the system several times by turning the wheel left and right. There is a constant flow of air bubbles in the reservoir and has been for 3 days. Any suggestions?
1. Check the pump inlet hose, ie hose from reservoir to pump, for leaks/loose connection/crimps, etc. Air is being sucked into pump together with the fluid.
Check the hose joint on pump for damaged o rings/seals.
2. The pump is bad and needs to be rebuilt/replaced.
