Engine Performance problem
2002 Toyota Camry 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 107000 miles
When slowing to a stop after driving for a while, the engine dies. It usually will not start unless one of the following is done: step on the accelerator or turn off the air conditioner. When it is restarted the idle is about 150 rpm slower than normal. If you then drive it and stop after a bit, the idle RPM is back to normal. Very hard to recreate.
Whenever the dying is happening the rpms are lower than normal.
Thanks. |

It sounds like you might have a throttle body problem with the IAC. Pretty sure that particular make and model has an electronic throttle body. I would cleaning it first. Make sure the key is off when you clean it. |
