2002 Nissan Pathfinder 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 125000 miles

I just replaced the passenger side window regulator. When I press the auto up button the window goes all the way up then goes down about 3 inches. If I hold the up button it does the same thing. When I replaced my driver side window regulator it didn't do this. The replacement regulator for the passenger side looked brand new. What is the issue here? Please help.
