Electrical problem

i installed a trailer hitch on my 2002 montero sport and the lights on the trailer are very dim. My buddy suggested i need a heavy duty flasher. I went to advance auto parts and they did not have one. Has any one had this problem. If you have where did you get the flasher and what is the part number.

I don't know if a heavy duty flasher is available but did you check if the bulbs are of the correct voltage?
