Hi there,

You may have a head gasket issue, I would get the engine checked for a head problem first.and have a scan done at the same time to see what fault codes are set.

Hello Mark,

Can you please explain a bit further. My dealer is telling me that the cause of the overheat might be the head gasket but they don't sound too sure about it. They say the cost of fixing that is high so I asked them to double check. Their point is that because they hear bubble sounds in the coolant reservoir, they think it's the gasket. They inspected the cooling system and there are no leaks.

How much roughly should I pay for head gasket replacement ?

Appreciate your advice.

Hi there,

You can have a head check done, this will check for exhaust gasses in the cooling system, this will be a shure way of checking for a head problem.
