Transmission problem
2002 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 116k miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a hyundai accent with 116k miles on it. When driving the engine revs high from 2nd to 3rd gear until I take my foot off the gas so the trans can shift without jerking the car forward. I received a check engine light. The scanning tool gives a code of P0732, which is a gear 2 incorrect ratio. After researching it could be a stuck or malfuncing solenoid. It was recommended I replace the solenoid shifting kit or kick down unit. If I remove the trans pan is this unit near the trans filter or does it need to be rebuilt? P.S. I've had regular transmission service. P.P.S. Where can I find a manual on transmissions.
