2007 Ford Focus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 16500 miles

I am installing a rpm tac in my 2007 Ford focus and the instructions are telling me to attach a green wire to the negative on the distributor or on the ignition coil. I don't know what they look like or where they are located in the engine so can you describe what they look like?
