2002 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Automatic 107500 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
When i come to a complete stop or slow down to turn, when I hit the gas to go, the car will sit & kind of idle for a few seconds. I Have to usually tap the pedal for it to go and when it is bad I have to turn off the a/c for the car to move when @ a stop, then i'll turn it back on . I also have noticed when i first drive the car in the morning and the engine is cool it doesn't do it, it drives normal. Once it heats up is when it acts up. I have taken it to different shops and even placed it on a diagnostic machine, no mechanics can pin point it. I know it can not be the transmission becasue I just got a rebuilt one. When i hold the pedal down I hear a "pop" and then the car accelerates. It's like if it is stuck in 1st gear then jumps and drives normal. Also 5 times this has happen to me, when i start to drive the car for less than a minute it starts to shake bad and then all of a sudden my steering wheel & brakes lock up the engine shuts off but the car radio and a/c is functioning. I put the car in park turn it off completely and then when i start the car like normal, it works again ( but it still has the stalling problem mentioned previously). I don't know what to do?????? the mechanic who fixed my tranny said I had a problem w/ some 2 oxygen sensors i believe located in the front of the car, which are used to heat the car, i don't know if that has anything to do w/ the issue I am having. Thanks
