Engine Performance problem
2002 Chrysler Sebring 6 cyl Manual 93000 miles

when trying to accelerate, the car will go from 2000rpm straight to 4000rpm, and then fall right back down to 2000rpm. it doesn't idle at 3000rpm. One mechanic told me it was the idle air control, is that an issue that is related to that control??
