Electrical problem
2002 Chrysler Sebring 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 40,000 miles

My alarm sounds when I open my drivers door, this happens when I unlock it using the key or the remote. I can however enter the car if I open the passenger door first then open the drivers door. I have disconnected the battery to reset the system as suggested by the dealer. What can I check and can this system be deactivated?
