Transmission problem
2002 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 90000 miles

My wifes car started acting up. It starts up fine and idles good, and smooth. But when your driving it the rpms go up to about 4500 before it shifts, and when you take off the line you have to floor it to go slow and then it will take off real fast. I took it to the shop and was told that almost all the seals on the engine needed to be replaced, and that they were causing the vacum pressure to be off. There are no leaks, lights, and no codes being tripped. They said it needed lower intake gaskets, inlet and outlet O rings, valve cover gasket, oil pump drive O ring, and EGR valve and gasket. But there are no signs of oil leaking any were. Could any of this be the cause of trans not shifting right?
