Air Conditioning problem
2002 Chevy Cavalier 6 cyl Automatic

My cavalier's AC is currently not working, it turns on but does not cool, it makes a switching sound, or cutting off sound. We added freon and did'nt make a diffence, I was told by my brother that it could be some filter (in the shape of a pen) that is in some pipe that is connected to the air, do you know what he is talking about and can you tell me where to find that filter. Please advise. Your help would greatly be appreciated. It's been extremely hot these days, and we need the AC to work.

its call an orfice tube. it is located in the high pressure line (small line) i think by the radiator. you will have to discharge the sysem and refill it again.
