2002 Buick Rendezvous Knocking noise

Noises problem
2002 Buick Rendezvous 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 74000 miles

When i am driving and i apply the brake, i hear this loud knocking noise from the front end. I was just curious on what it could be and how i go about getting it fixed. Thanks

It could be--
warped brake rotors
worn out brake pads
worn suspension parts
bad c v joint
loose wheel lug nut
broken caliper bolt
broken tire steel belt
bad shock
Look for any of the above or take it to a reputable mechanic.
