I had a problem with my transmission. They rebuilt it last year. This year the check engine light came back on along with the same gear problems it gave me last summer. When I took it back to the shop they said that the codes were overlapping and before they touched the transmission again they would need to replace the wheel sensor since they claimed it was bad too and that could make the codes go away. Over $400 later they still ended up tearing into the trans. to replace a switch. The lights went away. Now about 2 months later the check engine light is on again, they have already rebuilt the trans a 2nd time but the ABS light is coming back on with it and I feel the ABS kick in when I break sometimes. Wouldn't that be the wheel sensor and does that mean I should take it back to them or go to another mechanic for a 2nd look?

You probably have a wire for the wheel speed sensor that is broken inside the insulation. The wire harness needs to be ohm tested while bending the wire around.
