Shakes or Wobbles problem
2002 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 101000 miles

Started to wobble at about 90,000 miles has gotten worse. Wobbles more around 55 and 70-75 which is the speeds I most travel at. Replaced tires, got alignment. Still wobbles. Had mechanic get moody with me because I bought tires somewhere else said it was the tires, went back to tire guy got tires replaced, still wobbled went back to mechanic said these tires worse than last ones. Got a friend's Buick switched wheels to test tires, worked fine on her car my car still wobbled even with her wheels which were fine on her Buick.
Don't trust mechanic any more, tire guy says it could be several different things. Please advise me how to progress with diagnosing and repairing.
Thanks!

Brand new Good Year Triple Treds, two different sets.
How can I tell the difference between the axle and tierods being bad or if it is in the transmission? Is there a way I can visually determine that?
Thanks!

Jack front end up check for excessive loose side to side
best is to have front end checked by a qualified tech as it is possible to over look
Good luck
