Heater problem

I have a 2002 x5 that won't seem to blow air (hot or cold). The fan is working (and you can hear it increase velocity when the setting is increased on the dash unit), but NO air is blowing out of the front vents/front of the settings. The unit itself seems to be working properly

Check the cabin filter. It is under the hood, in the plastic receiver in the middle of engine compartment above the engine, there is a door held secure by quarter turn fasteners. BTW, it is either a V-8 or an inline six as BMW has never made a V-6.
