Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2001 Other GMC Models V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 119000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I just bought a 2001 GMC Yukon XL with 119,000 miles on it. Noticed that the tires were wearing on the insides of both front tires. Clunking sound and some laxness in steering. I took it to the shop for tires and alignment and was told that the car needed driver and passenger Inner tie rods, a pittman arm and an idler arm and alignment. While trying out the 4wd for the first time I noticed that attempting a tight turn (left or right) while in 4wd hi caused the front wheels to not want to rotate but steering straight the 4wd seems fine. will replacing the above parts fix the 4wd problem or is this just the way 4wd works?
