Engine Mechanical problem

When driving the truck is fine. This all started when we moved to AZ we will be driving around and when the weather is hot (truck not running hot) when we come to a stop and then start to go again the truck will cut off it will start right back up though with no problem.This is just scary to me cause the kin the car. I took it to a shop they said they not find anything wrong. I am thinking it is probably the fuel pump since it will do it when the gas is at a 3/4 of a tank. I did replace fuel filter and that was an ugly site since the gas that was in it came out black in color. PLease help since I have to move TX next month and I am not sure how to make it there..There also is a consnt humming in the rear of the truck.
