2001 Lincoln LS car won't start

Engine problem
2001 Lincoln LS 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 76000 miles

the car turns over, sounds like it is going to start every once in a while but does not start. It is getting fuel. Has nothing to do with spark plugs, checked them out. Could you please give me some ideas. This is my only transportation, I cannot get to work, if I knew what was wrong I could fix it. Please help me.

I am not a sertified mechanic but I have a 2000 ls and had the same problem ...I fixed my problem by unistalling the non factory alarm ....just an idea , it solved my problem .
