Suspension problem
2001 Lincoln Continental V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 42,000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
02 Lincoln Cont 42xxx, rear end went to ground (almost) in one evening. Dealer checked out, said they could not get anything out of the compressior, and they could not say how much it would cost but to start, 750.00 for the pump. May have leak, may have air strut out ect. Did not leave car because I was not happy not getting a full diagnosis.
I have read countless articles online but no one says where this air pump is. I drove it home with intent to at least change the pump and test for leaks on my own. Rubber rot is not likely. Car has been garaged all it's life and is barely driven. Front end seems fine. Of course I get "check air ride" warning.
