Engine Performance problem

my wife was driving her kia and the timing belt went out, i know theres probly giong to be more damage to the engine, im afraid the machanic will have a field day with my pocket book, have any good advice?

Hi there,

there is not much you can do but have it repaired and hope that he wont over charge, it is a bit hard to know how much damage there will be, bent valves and may be valve guide damage as well.
