I have a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo w/ approx. 90,000 miles. I originally had a check engine light come on and then within the past week my transmission light would come on and the engine would lose RPM's and almost stall when I would hit bumps in the road. Sometimes it has stalled, but starts right back up again without a problem. I am not sure if I have a transmission problem, a fuel pump problem, or even an electrical problem. On a diagnostic, I get a P0176 code which says "fuel composition sensor circuit malfunction". I'm not sure this is really the problem since I don't get the transmission light problem while in park and while testing the diagnostics. Has anyone had this particular problem before and can anyone provide some guidance?

I have a 2001 also with about 88,000 miles doing the same thing our mechanic was at a loss for the answer nothing appears on the diagnostic code in our case. We were
told it might be a torque convertor on the transmission. I will need to take it to an Isuzu dealer was his suggestion. Please post any additional information you find. Thanks
