2001 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 60000 miles

What is your assessment of my idea to hold the
crankshaft pulley in place by putting my car in
gear while I loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt?

Hi there,

Yes you can try that, but i would remove the starter and lock the ring gear with a suitable lever, this will work better.
