Engine Cooling problem

I have a 2001 honda civic. I noticed my Temperature gauge going to "H" when I changed the temperature control inside the car to hot (but not turning the fan on). I changed the thermostat hoping to fix the problem but it didnt.

My car runs properly and it never goes "HOT" since I've been using the A/C lately. Noticed the problem since it happened to me on 2 separate occassion after changing the temperature control to HOT.

I never had this problem before. It just started after I got my timing belt, water pump and compressor changed (at the same time). My coolant was drained during the process.

I've read other posts online and saw different posibilites (i.e. fuse, heat sensor)

Any advise?
