Shakes or Wobbles problem
2001 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When I step on the gas to pull out the whole car shakes. After that, if I step on the gas pedal too hard- the engine revs and the rpm goes up but the car does not respond. I have to step on the gas pedal very slowly and only then will the car go faster. I changed the fuel filter thinking it was clogged but it made no diffrence. Any suggestions ? Thanks for the help.

I had that exact problem with a chevy s10 once and i had a warped or slightly cracked tork converter, it wasnt losing fluid like most pros told me it would. It eventually blew apart and spent the rest of its days on the side of the road like i said this might not be helpful since its an older chevy truck and this is a taurus but if it is the same problem tork converters are cheap and at least you'll know its coming
