Electrical problem
2007 Ford Focus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 18370 miles

I stopped my car yesterday and went inside. When I came out I noticed it was in R. I placed it in Park. Inserted the key and tried to turn it on. A FEW beeps and nothing. I could not move out of park. I followed a neighbor's advice and got out and bumped the car, tried again. It made a few more beeps and it could now move out of park, but the battery was dead. I got it jumped and drove 20 miles. Turned it off, and it was dead. Got a jump and drove it 20 more miles. Turned it off and it was dead. Does this mean the battery is defective? Or is it something else?
