Engine Performance problem
2001 Ford Focus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 70,000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I recently took a trip in my Ford Focus wagon. It was fully loaded and I was running the A/C. It ran fine until I was climbing a pretty big hill and the engine's power cut out. It was almost as if the choke came on. I pulled over to the side and turned off the engine. I couldn't find any problems and when I restarted it, it ran fine...until the next big hill. Then the same thing, only without the A/C on. I turned off the engine, restarted it and it ran fine. It happened about 4 more times and I got to the point where I would just put it in neutral and restart it and then would keep driving. The only thing I can think is that it must be on of the emissions sensors is not working properly, but no "engine light" comes on. Any ideas?
