Transmission problem
2001 Ford Festiva 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive 90000 miles

I've recently purchased the above car and am unsure of the correct use of the 'Hold" term on the gears. I've asked a few people and have varying answers back. When I have tried to use this the car seems to drive better around 50km speed restriction instead of jumping from gear to gear all the time. Appreciate your help on this one
