IF you are suspecting a fuel loss when it happens, run a fuel pressure gauge up to the windsheild and tape it on so you can monitor it when the problem happens. The pcm is equipped with an over rpm/speed function that will shut off fuel delivery when a pre-determined speed is exceeded. This value may wrong in the PCM if it is faulty.
Look on the door jamb for the production date. is it before 11/2000?
