2001 Dodge Stratus EGR Solenoid

Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 92000 miles

My EGR is melted and I was wondering since it was not hooked up that it might be the reason my car is not running, I just replaced the head gasket.
And it starts but does not keep running, would that be the solenoid.
