Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi, I need some serious help. I recently bought a used pt cruiser for my 17yrs old son. He drove it for 2 days with no issues till on day he call me that the oil light/alarm come on and he shot the car off when attempted to start it will not do so. He sat in the car for about 30minutes and tried again and the car started with no problem.
A few days later we went out and about 10 driving the oil light/alarm comes on again We parked the car and shot it off, check the oil and it needed some but it had enough oil. We attempted to start the car and its been more than a week and no luck. A mechanic friend of my son said it was the computer, replaced it and still dead. At this point I feel terrible because my son was all excited about his first car and now its nothing but a headache.
