We replaced the brain thinking it was making it over heat ( it was defective and made the engine light come on). Then the motor to the fan, the water pump and thermostat and the radiator cap several times. flushed the cooling system. The mechanic coulld not find any problems. It ran ok after all of this for a month and is doing this again. The water goes into the tank then there is steam. Not all the time. It ran ok for about a month. It all started when a hose got a hole in it from rubbing and it over heated. This has been replaced also. Then the water pump leaked so it was replaced. My husband thinks it is the water pump. There is no evidence of any leakage or water in the oil, or smoke of any kind coming out of the tail pipe. Could it be the water pump again or the radiator cap?
