What would the typical cost be to replace the cylinder head gasket on this BMW 330i? The car overheated and my mechanic has told me this job needs to be done.

The head gasket replacement for that car should take about 17 hours. If overheated, I would be concerned that the cylinder head casting has cracked, be sure to have it pressure tested and prepare for replacement of the head.
