2001 BMW 325 hestiation appeared after long stoplight

Engine Mechanical problem
2001 BMW 325 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 100600 miles

This morning on the way to work, after a long stoplight. Where the car was pointed down. After a long stoplight, it appeared that the car was hestiating to build up speed. Once i got up to cruising speed, the car was okay. Should i add STP or a similiar product and top off my tank with premium fuel to fix the problem.

Premium fuel is called for in the BMW cars and you might see an advantage in treating the fuel in the tank and using premium fuel from a bulk or national supplier. Is there a service engine soon lamp illuminated? What is the service history of the car? There may be some other issue here and I wish to help find it.
