2000 Saab 9-3 repair Question 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 77000 miles
I either have a bad neutral safety switch or crank pos sensor. The car sometimes will not start, however there is plenty of battery power. You can wait 5 minutes to 24 hours before the car will start again. On the saab forum site a guy said that the NSS was common and showed be a way to bypass the circuit. He also said that sometimes you can clean the Neutral Safety Switch also, however I do not know where it is located. It (NSS) is very expensive. I also heard it could be the Crank Position Sensor. It is less than 100 bucks. I do not know where it is located either. Or maybe you have a suggestion on what it is. Can you show me a diagram on where the Neutral Safety Switch and the Crank Position Switch is located? Thanks Tim Lewis NC
