Electrical problem
2000 Saab 9-3 repair Question 122000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, this is horrible. It started last summer and ONLY happens when it's hot outside. The car, randomly, will not start. There's power to the windows, radio, etc, but the ignition does nothing at all when you turn the key. Sometimes it will start again after a few minutes, other times it just won't start for the whole day. Here's what's been fixed so far:
- ignition cassette
- fuel pump replaced
- ignition relay
- crank position sensor
- ignition wires "tightened"
- new car battery
- new batterries in each of the key fobs
The car has been to 2 different saab dealerships and 3 foreign car specialists and no one can get it to duplicate the problem, hence the variety of parts replaced. Three of the times it had to be towed to the repair shop. There are no codes stored or pending in any system. I've begun videotaping the problem just to prove it happens. HELP
