when key is inserted the ignition wont turn it seems locked how can this be fixed

are you using the original coded key or a copy? if so you may need a coded key. if you have a spare set that is factory made try that one. if still nothing try some graphite lock lube, the tumblers may be stuck and jamming up causing the key not to turn. If none of this works remove it and replace with a new one.
