Electrical problem
2000 Other BMW Models V12 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 111000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I think i need to replace my battery in my 750iL (not Li) it has the V12 engine I need to know if there are 2 batteries (double stacked) or just one. When i look at the battery bay in the trunk it appears to be 1 stacked on top of the other. According to the local BMW dealer there is no 2 battery system. I am very confused. I left the lights on in my car in the heat and on the way home my battery light came on and other warning lights came on like a Christmas tree. Friends in my BMW forum are pretty confident i have a week cell as that is the indication when said lights start coming on. So is it a 2 battery system or one big one? thanks. |

It is a two battery system and I have no idea why the BMW dealer would give you the wrong information, maybe they are just confused (or stupid,... did i say that?) I recommend shopping the price around, especially considering the quality of the BMW batteries these days. The Costco batteries are quite good, I have bought several of them and had no issues with their quality. |

I figured that. I think the top part just needs to be replaced so it looks like i will be purchasing the 5495R. I will keep you all posted. |
