Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Lincoln Continental V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 129000 miles

The first time I was dring 45 mls/h, I heard a noise like when the gear skip, then the car shut down and did not start anymore. I though it was the transmition, took it to a transmition place where I do still having waranty from 9 month ago complete rebuild, they said it was not; I took it to an electrical place and they fixed there, they said it was the theft systeme taht do not pick up the key signal. They replace it and it runs for 2 days. It hapens again,the same thing, I was getting into the haway, I did speed up and hear the gear skip, the engine went dead and did not start any more. Took it to the same place they fixed last, they said it has a blown fuse and they don't know where the shortage is coming from. I still thinking it has something to see with the transmition.

Did they tell u what fuse is it?
check if its has something to do with the tranny controls
and if so u should have the tranny shop take a 2nd look
