Air Conditioning problem

my a/c has been working fine, now its warmed up a little and i have the a/c on more for longer it seems to affect fans or blowers. The problem is intermitent which makes it very difficult to find any common reason as to why this is happening.

The problem is that the control panel shos the fans coming on and diplays that they are working. No air comes through the system, no hot or cold air comes out. The problem can start when i start the car fresh in the morning, or it can start off working but if i stop for a while and turn it on again the problem comes on. It seems that its a faulty sensor of something. Can any parts freeze up and stop working and this is the reason that if left for a while they start working agin because the sensor has defrosted?
