Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Other Alfa Romeo Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 105000 miles

I WAS DRIVING WHEN A KNOCKING SOUND CAME FROM THE ENGINE. I PULLED OVER AND THE ENGINE WAS TURNING BUT A LOUD CLONKING SOUND WAS COMING FRONM THE ENGINE. COULD ANYONE PLEASE ADVISE??

hi there,

The first thing to check is the engine oil pressure, if it is very low you may be hearing bearing knock which will destroy the engine if not investigated promptly, start here.
