Transmission problem
2001 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 53000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I just bought a 2001 ford ranger with 51,000 miles on it about a month ago. About a week after i got it i noticed it was shifting rather violently into second gear. Since it is under a dealer warranty i had them look at it and they told me they put a rebuilt transmission in it because two bands were broken inside the transmission. Well it shifts a little better but still still pretty hard into second gear; definitely not like it should be. What could be the problem if they put a rebuilt transmission in it?
