Engine Performance problem
2001 BMW 330 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 120000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I recently replaced my spark plugs and boots on my ignition coils. About a month later my car was running rough, so I checked the plugs, not really expecting anything. But the plugs were fouled. I replaced all four O2 sensors and then replaced the plugs again - the car ran smooth as glass. That was about a week ago. My car just started running rough again, and I checked the plugs - fouled AGAIN. Can you tell me what could be wrong?
Are there faults set? Is there a check engine light on? Have you checked additive and multiplicative fuel trim? The answer to these questions will help me narrow the search parameters.
Answer to all questions is no. I actually just changed the clutch pedal bushings and the change in the clutch response and the motor was fairly significant. Initially, the clutch would have a slight hesitation when I hit the gas after shifting, but after replacing the bushings, the travel of the pedal is less, and the hesitation is gone. The motor is also quieter and my fuel consumption has lowered.
ooohkay...I said in the previous post that changing the bushings had a side effect - the motor was running more smoothly. That's how I got from spark plugs to clutch pedal bushings.
You could've just ignored me, you know, instead of the attitude...but that's just me.
Consider my initial question withdrawn.
