Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Audi A4 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 136000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Turbo went on this A4 and it will cost $1600 to repair not sure if it is worth it to repair at this stage in the game w/the mileage... also the mechanic said that the engine was full of oil - wandering if this is the oil sludge problem audi sent letters out on - but i'm already out of warranty as it was not a recall. Also was thinking abt waiting for the new A4 to come out ....Do you think it is worth to repair? Also, it is better to get a car that is front whelel drive with ESC (Electronic Stability Control) or an all wheel drive car without ESC?

Hi

I don't think if writh replacing thre turbo on this vehilce. I had a 02 that the turbo died at 56K and it cost me close to $3k to replace. Needless to say I sold the car soon after. It was nothing but a headache after the warranty expired.
