Electrical problem
2001 Audi A4 V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual 154000 miles

car has recently had fan belt, tensioner, oil, a/c belt, fuel filter changed.
Problem is without warning dashboard lights cut out sometimes when driving at speed, power steering gets heavy, car cruises to a stop. will restart.
scary experience!

diagnostics just pointed to temperature gauge fault, not replaced yet.
also a minor issue: air bag red light on for last year.

any ideas??
