Electrical problem
2000 BMW 323 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 115000 miles

I took all of the wires out that belong to the right side of my car if you are looking into the hood. This means both headlights, the horn, the thing that opens the hood. When i went to put everything back i saw a wire with a long metal piece hanging, & i dont remember taking it out. It is connected to a wire, and almost remind me of a sensor even though i dont know where it belongs. Can someone help me out ?

What shape is it? It could be the outside air temp sender.
